  • 2 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Wire whisk
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • 1 Sharp knife for dicing apples
  • 1 Wire cooling rack
  • 1 Small bowl for glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar for batter
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Butter melted
  • 2 large Eggs room temp
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Milk whole preferred
  • 2 medium Apples diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon for apple mix
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar for apple mix
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2 tablespoon Milk for glaze

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease loaf pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt).
  • Whisk wet ingredients (butter, eggs, vanilla, milk).
  • Fold wet into dry, don’t overmix.
  • Dice apples, toss with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  • Layer batter and apple mix in loaf pan.
  • Bake 50–60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to cooling rack.
  • Whisk glaze (powdered sugar and milk), drizzle on top.
  • Slice and serve.

Notes

For best texture, don’t overmix the batter. Use tart apples for a nice contrast with the sweet glaze.
