Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter Softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice

Instructions

  • Peel and dice apples into small pieces
  • Cook diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt
  • Let apple mixture cool completely before using
  • Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy Cream Mix
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract Add Eggs
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until batter is smooth Mix Batter
  • Gently fold in cooled apple mixture Fold Apples
  • Pour batter into greased loaf pan and smooth top Fill Pan
  • Bake at 350°F until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean (about 55 mins) Bake Bread
