Instructions
Line and dust the pan.
Boil sugar and water to 240°F.
Mix cornstarch, cream of tartar, and water.
Slowly whisk cornstarch mix into syrup.
Cook and stir for 45–60 minutes until thick and golden.
Stir in flavorings and coloring.
Pour into pan and smooth the top.
Cool for at least 3 hours, then cut into squares.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
