Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dark brown sugar Firmly packed

Instructions

  • Cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla; mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  • Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets using a cookie scoop.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes, until golden around edges.
  • Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. This step is optional but enhances texture and taste.
