Instructions
Dissolve yeast in warm water with a pinch of honey until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine bread flour, whole wheat flour, oats, salt, and cocoa powder.
In another bowl, whisk together honey, molasses, vegetable oil, and caramel coloring.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and shape into loaves or rolls.
Place shaped dough on greased baking sheets or in loaf pans, cover, and let rise for 45 minutes until puffy.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
Brush warm bread with melted butter and let cool before slicing.
