Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dark chocolate chips Melted for base
  • 1 cup Mint chocolate chips Stirred into dough
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour Spoon & level
  • ½ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder For rich chocolate flavor
  • ½ cup Butter Melted with chocolate
  • ¾ cup Brown sugar Packed
  • ½ cup White sugar Granulated
  • 2 Large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Pure peppermint extract High-quality preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar For dusting

Instructions

  • Chocolate + butter until smooth.
  • Cocoa, flour, baking soda, salt.
  • Melted chocolate + sugars.
  • Slightly, then add eggs & extracts.
  • In dry mix gently.
  • Mint chips into dough.
  • Onto lined baking sheets.
  • 350°F, 10–12 mins.
  • 5 mins, then rack.
  • With powdered sugar.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Adjust baking time depending on desired chewiness.
