Ingredients

  • cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ cup Unsalted butter Softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Packed
  • ¼ cup Dark molasses
  • 1 Large egg Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar For rolling dough balls

Instructions

  • Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy
  • Add molasses, egg, and vanilla; beat well
  • Whisk dry ingredients in separate bowl
  • Combine dry and wet ingredients
  • Chill dough for 2 hours
  • Roll into balls, coat with sugar
  • Bake at 350°F for 10–12 mins until crackled
