Instructions
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add remaining sugar, honey, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth.
Cover bowl and let dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and roll to ½-inch thickness. Cut into 12–16 squares and place on a greased 9x13 pan. Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
Let shaped rolls rise again until puffy, about 30–45 minutes.
Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
Immediately brush warm rolls with melted butter for a glossy finish.
Whip softened butter, honey, cinnamon, and powdered sugar together until smooth and fluffy. Serve with warm rolls.
Notes
For the best flavor, use high-quality honey and real butter. Rolls can be frozen after baking and reheated before serving.
