Equipment

  • 1 Medium saucepan
  • 1 Wooden spoon or spatula
  • 1 Microplane or zester
  • 1 Citrus juicer
  • 1 Measuring cups/spoons
  • 1 Serving bowl or storage container

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Fresh cranberries washed, stems removed
  • 1 whole Orange zest & juice
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 stick Cinnamon stick remove before serving
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Wash cranberries, zest & juice orange.
  • Water, orange juice, sugar, cinnamon.
  • Add cranberries & zest, cook until they pop.
  • Stir in vanilla & salt, cool, remove cinnamon.

Notes

For a thicker texture, cook a few minutes longer. For a fresher relish-style version, pulse ingredients raw in a food processor.
