Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Sifted
  • 0.5 cup Cold unsalted butter Cut into small cubes
  • 0.33 cup Brown sugar Packed
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar

  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.33 cup Quick-cooking oats Adds texture
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds flavor

Instructions

  • Cut cold butter into cubes and refrigerate.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Cut butter into flour mixture until crumbly.
  • Add oats and vanilla extract; mix gently.
  • Sprinkle topping over prepared apple pie.
  • Chill pie 15 minutes before baking.
