Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¾ cup Old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven.
  • Mix crust.
  • Press crust.
  • Slice apples.
  • Toss apples.
  • Layer filling.
  • Add topping.
  • Bake.
  • Cool completely.
  • Dust sugar.
