  • 2 Mixing bowls One for dry and one for wet ingredients
  • 1 Whisk For smooth blending of wet ingredients
  • 1 Piping Bag Or zip-top bag with a snipped corner
  • 1 Wire rack For cooling and setting glaze

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Spoon and level
  • ¼ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder Natural not Dutch-processed
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Buttermilk Room temperature
  • 1 Large Egg room temperature
  • 2 tablespoon Melted butter Unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Pure
  • ¼ cup Mini chocolate chips Optional

Glaze

  • ¾ cup Powdered sugar Sifted for smooth glaze
  • 2 tablespoon Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2–3 tbsp Milk Adjust for glaze thickness
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles Optional for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat oven and grease donut pan
  • Mix dry ingredients
  • Whisk wet ingredients
  • Combine and gently fold batter
  • Fill donut pan ⅔ full
  • Bake 7–8 minutes, then cool on rack
  • Whisk glaze ingredients
  • Dip donuts in glaze and decorate
  • Let glaze set before serving
