Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Unsalted butter Room temperature
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar For creaming with butter
  • 4 oz Semi-sweet or dark chocolate Melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds aroma
  • 4 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1 piece Pie crust Pre-baked and cooled
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream For topping
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar To sweeten whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder For garnish
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances sweetness

Instructions

  • Bake crust and cool completely.
  • Melt chocolate and let it cool.
  • Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating 3–5 mins each.
  • Pour filling into crust and smooth.
  • Chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Whip cream and spread on top.
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings.
