Ingredients

For the Brownie Base

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 3 Large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Optional

For the Coconut Pecan Topping

  • 1 can Evaporated milk (12 oz)
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 Large egg yolks
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter For topping
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven.
  • Melt butter.
  • Whisk in sugar and eggs.
  • Mix dry ingredients.
  • Combine and fold in chips.
  • Pour and bake.
  • Prepare topping.
  • Stir in coconut and pecans.
  • Spread topping on brownies.
  • Cool and cut.
