Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 ½ cups Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter Softened
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk preferred
  • 2 ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoon Matcha powder / pistachio paste / pandan extract Choose one for flavor & color
  • ½ cup Heavy cream For frosting
  • 1 cup Cream cheese For frosting
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For frosting
  • ½ cup White chocolate Optional, melted
  • ½ teaspoon Almond extract Optional
  • ½ cup Coconut milk If using pandan version

Instructions

  • Preheat oven, grease pans, and line with parchment.
  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in eggs one at a time, then flavoring.
  • Alternate adding flour mixture and milk.
  • Divide batter, bake 25–30 mins, cool on rack.
  • Beat frosting ingredients until creamy and smooth.
  • Frost cooled cakes, add toppings like nuts or chocolate.

Notes

You can swap between matcha, pandan, or pistachio for flavor and color. Optional ingredients add depth to your desired version.
