Instructions
Preheat oven, grease pans, and line with parchment.
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in eggs one at a time, then flavoring.
Alternate adding flour mixture and milk.
Divide batter, bake 25–30 mins, cool on rack.
Beat frosting ingredients until creamy and smooth.
Frost cooled cakes, add toppings like nuts or chocolate.
