Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter Softened
  • ¾ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 large Egg

  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder

Instructions

  • Grind lavender buds finely but not into powder
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add egg, vanilla, and lavender to creamed mix
  • Whisk flour, salt, and baking powder separately
  • Mix dry into wet until just combined
  • Form dough into a log and wrap in plastic
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours
  • Set oven to 350°F
  • Cut dough into ¼-inch rounds
  • Bake 12–15 min until edges are golden
  • Tap baking sheet on counter after baking
  • Transfer to wire rack to cool completely
