Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.
Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar using an electric or stand mixer.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add lemon juice, zest, vanilla, and lemon extract (if using).
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
Fold the batter gently until just combined, then pour into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden.
Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for 30 minutes.
Whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice (plus optional cream cheese and heavy cream) and drizzle over cooled brownies.
