Equipment

  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Electric mixer
  • 1 set Measuring cups/spoons
  • 1 9x13 inch pan greased with butter
  • 1 Wire rack for cooling
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 Toothpick for doneness testing

Ingredients

  • 1 box Chocolate cake mix any brand
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise full-fat for best results
  • 1 cup Water room temperature
  • 3 Eggs large, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 box Instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • tablespoon Butter for greasing pan

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Grease pan with butter
  • Mix cake and pudding mix in bowl
  • Add mayo, water, eggs, vanilla
  • Beat for 2 minutes
  • Fold in chocolate chips
  • Pour into pan
  • Bake 30–35 mins until toothpick clean
  • Cool 10 mins in pan, then on rack
