  • 1 Microwave-safe mug (8–12 oz) For cooking the cake
  • 1 Mixing bowls Separate dry and wet ingredients
  • 1 Fork or small whisk For mixing batter
  • 1 Spoon For stirring
  • 1 Measuring spoon set For accuracy
  • 1 Small plate or saucer To prevent overflow in microwave

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Nutella Plus extra for topping
  • 3 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder Unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt Enhances flavor
  • 3 tablespoon Milk Room temperature
  • 1 large Egg Lightly beaten
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla extract Optional
  • 1 tablespoon Chocolate chips Optional
  • Whipped cream For serving

Instructions

  • Add Nutella to the bottom of a microwave-safe mug.
  • Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet in another.
  • Combine both and fold in chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter over Nutella layer in the mug.
  • Microwave 1–2 minutes until top is set.
  • Let cool for 1 minute and top with whipped cream.

Notes

Adjust sugar and chocolate chips to your preference. Mug size matters — use at least an 8 oz mug to avoid overflow!
