Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 2 ¼ cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder

  • ¾ cup Unsalted butter Softened

  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons Strawberry jam or preserves
  • 2–3 drops Red food coloring Optional
  • ¼ cup Freeze-dried strawberries Crushed

Glaze

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh strawberry puree For glaze
  • 1 tablespoon Milk or cream For glaze

Instructions

  • Preheat oven.
  • Whisk dry ingredients together.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg, vanilla, strawberry jam, and food coloring. Mix until combined.
  • Gradually stir in dry mixture until dough forms.
  • Use cookie scoop to portion dough onto lined baking sheet.
  • Bake 12 minutes or until edges are just set. Do not overbake.
  • Cool cookies on a wire rack.
  • Mix glaze ingredients until smooth using a fine-mesh strainer if needed.
  • Dip cookies in glaze and let set before serving.
