Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour spooned & leveled
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Butter room temperature
  • 6 large Egg whites
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 2 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract or clear vanilla for whiter color
  • 0.5 teaspoon Almond extract optional but traditional
  • 2.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Heavy cream for frosting
  • 4 cups Powdered sugar for frosting
  • 4 oz White chocolate optional, for ganache
  • 4 oz Cream cheese optional, for tangier frosting
