Ingredients

  • 1 large Angel food cake Cubed into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) Instant vanilla pudding mix Any brand works
  • 2 cups Whole milk Cold or room temperature
  • 2 cups Cool Whip Divided; one for layers, one for topping
  • 1 can (21 oz) Cherry pie filling Substitute blueberry or strawberry
  • Fresh cherries Optional garnish
  • Powdered sugar Optional for dusting

Instructions

  • Cube angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
  • Whisk pudding mix with milk until thickened.
  • Fold in half of the Cool Whip until creamy.
  • Add half of the cake cubes to dish; pour half of pudding mix over.
  • Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the pudding layer.
  • Add remaining cake cubes and pudding mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Spread remaining Cool Whip on top.
  • Add fresh cherries and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Try swapping cherry pie filling with other fruit fillings like blueberry or strawberry for variety.
